This is a super easy meal that is filling and low fat. Buy a bone in turkey breast. Since there are no legs, wings, back, or other dark meat it will help keep you honest. Just avoid eating the skin and make sensible sides and you have a hearty low fat meal. We sauteed green beans with cooking spray and roasted baby potatoes with cooking spray. You can make your own gravy with the drippings but it will have fat from the skin. Many store bought gravies are fat free so I like to use them to make it leaner and save time.

INGREDIENTS

1 bone in turkey breast
rosemary
sage
thyme
cooking spray
salt
pepper

DIRECTIONS

1- pre-heat oven to 325, place turkey in a roasting pan and rub in herbs and put some herbs inside the turkey cavity. Add a little salt and pepper, spray with cooking spray, cover and place in oven.
2- roast turkey for about 20 minutes per lb. I like to spray again with cooking spray and roast uncovered for about the last half hour of cooking to give it a golden brown color. Turkey is done when a meat thermometer reads 170 inserted in the thickest part of the breast.
3- thats it, time to eat.
