Where in the world is your Basketeria bag?
JAPAN
Eric took our bag to Japan. Sorry it took so long to post these Eric, they
are fantastic. I can picture it now, Eric sitting at the hibachi as the chef flips shrimp and the salt and pepper shaker into
a basketeria bag. Not the yum yum sauce though, too messy. Ok that probably didn't happen, but maybe it came in handy
carrying around some sushi, ramen, or udon. Thanks Eric
Sara joined the Peace Corps in May of 2010 and took our bag to Fiji. She took some great pictures of our bag
at the Lauotka market in Fiji. She took pictures with her spice guy, coconut cutter, and sea weed provider. I can't
help but feel connected with these people, even though we have never met. Knowing that Sara chose them to provide
foods for her in Fiji Just as she has chose us here is pretty cool. Thanks Sara. To find out more about Sara, her
trip, and great Fijian recipes check out her blog with this link. Eating with you hands.
136th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show
Mona took our Green Basketeria Bag to Manhattan's Madison Square Garden for the 136th
Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. AKA The Grand Daddy of dog shows in the U.S.!
Hulett went Award of Merit (AOM)!! A huge accomplishment... Hulett
is only the 3rd Blue Great Dane to get an award of any kind at Westminster. He is only the 2nd natural eared Great Dane
to ever get an award at Westminster. Thanks Mona and Hulett. That sure is one fine doggy bag.
ST LUCIA
Della took our bag on a whirl wind cruise to St. Lucia , Barbados , and Antigua. Della took lots of photos showing off
our bag. One of our goals is to one day visit the many places our bag has been. Thanks for the pictures Della.
BARBADOS
PARIS , FRANCE
Clark took our bag to Paris. That makes the score bag to paris three , me to Paris zero for those of you keeping
track. I think I am starting to have bag envy.
PROM
Sam took prom pictures with our bag two years in a row. Sure his dad made him , but he did it. I tried to get our
kids to do it with no luck. Great job Sam. Learning where to get great food and how to carry it in class is one lesson
you have learned well. Do well and have fun in college.
LAGUNA BEACH, CALIFORNIA
Keri took our bag to Laguna Beach , California . She describes the bags jouney below .We went to the beach this weekend
and I decided to take "The Bag" with me so he could experience the beach for the first time. He really had a good time...
he was a little chilly, but we took good care of him and kept him nice and toasty. He got to play in the sand and let
the cool breeze whip through his hair... he even got to experience the cool pacific waters (via some wet bathingsuits...
but he enjoyed it just the same!) :-) He's quite happy here in Cali with us... I hope you don't miss him
too much. We will probably take him on another adventure soon... I'll be sure to keep you posted of his travels.
For now I hope you enjoy the pictures of "The Bags" first trip to Laguna Beach, California! :-) Thanks Keri.
MOUNT WASHINGTON , NH
Our bag took a trip to the summit of Mt. Washington NH .The weather of Mount Washington is notoriously erratic. Winds
exceeding hurricane force occur an average of 110 days per year. From November to April, these strong winds
are likely to occur during two-thirds of the days. Good job holding on to the bag.
Char and Geoff took our bag to Isle of Palms , South Carolina. Looks like you guys are having a
good time. Do you think you could fit some of that sun and sand in your Basketeria bag and bring it back to Cleveland. We
could all use some of that after this winter. Thanks Guys
.
MIAMI , FLORIDA ( SOUTH BEACH)

| WE TOOK OUR TALENTS TO SOUTH BEACH |
We took our bag on a long bike ride , about 45 miles from Ft. Lauderdale by the Sea to South Beach in Miami. It was quite
a ride some on busy streets and even a short stretch on a freeway. The folks on South Beach were way too cool for us. We had
fun but we are glad to be back in Cleveland. Note the the Parkview nite club sweatshirt on south beach as well , Cleveland all the way.
URUGUAY AND ARGENTINA
Jessica took her bag to Uruguay and Argentina .Here is a picture of the bag just chillin' in the courtyard of the Don
Antonio Posada Hotel in Colonia, Uruguay. There is also a picture at the base of the Gomero Tree (planted in the late
1800's and is approximately 50 meters wide) just outside the Recoleta Cemetery in Buenos Aires where Evita is buried.
This bag is well-traveled! Thanks Jessica.

RED GOES GREEN
Photo of Bill and Michelle with our bag in Boston. This photo was taken by a statue of legendary Celtics
coach Red Auerbach. I'm sure the bag came in handy , I here there are a lot of crabs in Boston. Unfortunately the Lakers put
a stop to our bag seeing a championship parade for the Celts. Would have been nice for our bag to see a parade , even
if I never get to see one here.
ISTANBUL , TURKEY
The Blue Mosque in Turkey goes green. When entering the Blue Mosque visitors must take their shoes off. Good
idea to bring a Basketeria bag to put them in while gazing at the architecture. Even President Obama had to remove his shoes.
Perhaps he should have had a Basketeria bag with him too. follow this link to see a picture of President Obama
removing his shoes at the Blue Mosque. Shoeless President .
